Die feinen Haare der Cashmere-Ziege ähneln im Aufbau und der Geschmeidigkeit dem Menschenhaar, da sie aus der gleichen Substanz (Aminosäuren) bestehen. Die folgenden Hinweise werden Ihnen helfen, die Form und die elegante Erscheinung Ihres Cashmere-Produkts für viele Jahre zu erhalten.

Handwäsche

Wir empfehlen das Cashmere-Produkt bei 30°C (handwarmes bis leicht kühles Wasser) mit mildem Waschmittel zu waschen. Bitte das Produkt nicht im Wasser liegen lassen. Danach spülen Sie Ihr Lieblingsstück vollständig unter lauwarmen Wasser mehrmals aus. Legen Sie das Cashmere-Produkt auf ein trockenes Handtuch und ziehen es vorsichtig wieder in seine Form zurück. Rollen Sie das Handtuch zusammen und pressen somit das überschüssige Wasser aus.

Wenn nötig, wiederholen Sie bitte diesen Arbeitsschritt noch einmal. Ein Cashmere-Produkt bitte niemals auswringen oder verdrehen. Breiten Sie das Cashmere-Produkt anschließend auf einem trockenen Handtuch aus und lassen Sie es bei Zimmertemperatur trocknen.

Legen Sie es bitte auf keinen Fall auf die Heizung oder an die Sonne. Bitte nicht zum Trocknen auf einen Bügel hängen, es sei denn, der Pullover ist Ihnen tendenziell zu kurz.

Maschinenwäsche

Ihre Lieblingspullis sind im Wollprogramm bei 30° C ebenso gut aufgehoben wie bei Handwäsche. Achten Sie bitte nur darauf, dass Ihre Cashmere-Pullis auf links gedreht sind und dass die Trommel nur halb gefüllt ist. Anschließend können die guten Teile bei niedriger Drehzahl kurz geschleudert werden.

Ziehen Sie Ihren Cashmere-Pulli in Form und lassen Sie ihn anschließend trocknen wie oben beschrieben.

Bügeln

Ein Cashmere-Produkt sollte nach dem Trocknen mit einem Dampfbügeleisen leicht gedämpft werden. Dabei ziehen Sie das Teil gut in Form und halten das Bügeleisen einige Minuten darüber. Ein gebügeltes/gedämpftes Cashmere-Produkt fusselt nach unserer Erfahrung weniger.

Aufbewahren

Ein Cashmere-Produkt sollte liegend aufbewahrt werden, da es durch Hängen seine Form verlieren kann. Bitte bewahren sie Ihr gutes Stück auch immer in seinem Beutel auf. Vor dem Tragen können Sie es über Nacht in frischer Luft „aufhängen“. Durch das „Lüften“ richten sich die Haare auf und das Cashmere-Produkt wird schön kuschelig.

Knötchen und Fussel

Sollten an den Pullis kleine Knötchen auftreten, ist dies in gewissen Umfang normal. Mit Fusselroller bzw. Paketklebeband lassen sich diese problemlos entfernen. Fussel und Knötchen können auch leicht mit der Hand weggezupft werden.

Interesting Facts About Cashmere 

Cashmere is one of the most precious and valuable natural products, unmatched in its softness and luxurious optics. Cashmere wool is obtained from the fine bottom hair of cashmere goats, a rare goat type native to Mongolia, China, Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran and India. 

This underdown, also called Duvet, is collected during spring when the goats naturally shed their winter coat. Through a process called de-haring the coarse hairs are separated from the fine hair. The resulting Cashmere is ready to be dyed and converted into yarn, fabrics and garments. 

Not Any Cashmere is Cashmere 

Cashmere goats produce their fine underdown as protection against extreme weather conditions such as sudden temperature changes. These can be found especially in the up to 3000 meters high plateaus of Gobi desert in Mongolia, which, in contrast to other deserts, is a cold desert. The extreme conditions and icy temperatures lead to a faster growth of the fine underdown. The coarse outer coating of hair, called guard hair, protects the animals against precipitation; the fine underdown isolates perfectly against the cold. 

Why is Cashmere More Expensive Than Other Fibers? 

Cashmere wool fiber is won not through shearing but through combing. A single goat only provides 200 grams (0,4 lb) of the precious underdown. This means that the production of a single sweater requires the annual yield of three to four goats. 

Another reason why Cashmere wool is more expensive: The goats can only be kept and raised in small herds and free-range.

As high quality fiber, Cashmere is more sensitive than less delicate fibers. The best guarantee for preserving the beauty of your Cashmere styles is the right care. 

The fine fibers of Cashmere goat are similar to human hair in its structure and softness because they consist of the same substance (amino acid). The following instructions will help you preserving the form and elegant optics of your Cashmere products. 

Manual Washing 

We recommend washing the Cashmere product at 30°C (hand warm to slightly cool water) and with mild laundry detergent. Please do not let the product lie soaked in water. Subsequently thoroughly rinse your most favorite item with lukewarm water. Put the Cashmere product on a dry towel and pull it carefully back to its original form. Roll the towel together and squeeze out any surplus water. 

If necessary, repeat this step. Please do not wring out or twist a Cashmere product. Unfold the Cashmere product afterwards on a dry towel and let it dry at room temperature. 

Please do not put it on a radiator or in the sun. Please do also not put it on a coat hanger, except the product tends to be too short for you personally. 

Machine Washing 

Your most favorite items are as safe in the wool program (30 °C) of a washing machine as if washed by hand. Please ensure that your Cashmere products are turned inside out and that the washing drum is only half full. Afterwards you can spin the products at low speed. 

Pull the product back into form and let it dry through the same process as described earlier. 

Ironing 

A Cashmere product should be lightly steamed after drying with a steam iron. To do so, pull the product into form and hold the steam iron above it for a few moments. A steamed/ironed Cashmere product usually fluffs less. 

Storing 

A Cashmere product should be kept lying because hanging could deform it. Please also keep your favorite piece in its bag. Before wearing it, you can “hang it out” over night. Due to this “ventilation” the fibers are straightened back up and the Cashmere product is snug and cozy.

Knots and Lint 

Knots and lint are a normal by-product of wearing. They are easily removed with a lint roller or parcel tape or can simply be picked off by hand.
